Pathfinder Power Playing: Swiss Army Knife of Characters

This build first came to me when I first got the book ultimate magic at the time I didn't quite get it yet but I sure do now.  The ability to snap your fingers and make a +5 dagger appear was, yes awesome for third level but not as good as other things at that level.  When I applied the concept of using the enhancement bonus for other enhancements such as bane ghost touch or flaming it opened up a whole new can of worms you could literally do just about anything damage wise.  When I looked at it I shortly came up with a way to do 6d6 damage and at third level that is nothing to shrug at and you could easily find a number of applications to use it.

Image result for magical daggerWhen pulling this off you need to remember that one of the downsides of many magic items is that you wont always need them.  Take bane for example if I had an Aberration bane sword and we just encountered some constructs then it isn't going to matter so it might as well be one enhancement level lower and then be underpowered for the situation however if i could make it change on demand or make a new bane sword for each enemy then I would all of a sudden make bane overpowered and easily beat enemies faster and better.  now I know you want the secret well what you have to do is take the spellblade magus archetype and then take the pool sourced athame the first chance you get because you can easily spend 5 points in your arcane pool to get his majestic weapon that I speak of.

Topplegeist is a build named after the magic the gathering card I got the idea from and it is mainly based on causing as many disruptions as possible and leaving unharmed.  The card itself had had some hilarious flavor to it it was just a ghost that went around knocking stuff over then going crazy and knocking everything over not that threatening, but shall I remind you of the prone condition and the spell grease which makes life impossible.  This is an experimental build and very early in development and may be a lot like the executioner build I came up with before, but it will have a few differences.  For example it will be true to the flavor of it because it will be based primarily on knocking stuff over and then taking advantage of that, for example the prone condition or another impeding condition.

When making This build you are going to need trip attacks, escape plans and the overall ability for causing mischief.  One helpful spell will be grease, this spell will ignore your need from trip attacks and make it easier to avoid damage.  You could also use the spell fabricate bullets to turn your enemies weapon into bullets.  last but not least you can use windy escape to as the name would suggest "escape"

Pathfinder Power playing: Goblin Hit and Run

Well as the name suggests this build is based off of using a goblin with an uncanny ability to use hit and run tactics which on their own are hard enough to make in the game of Pathfinder this build uses a goblin and several feats to get rid of tough enemies

Image result for pathfinder goblin withThis build first came to me when I had seen the goblin feat tangle feet which would remove an enemies dexterity bonus to AC.  This added with the use of a firearm and you'll hit just about anything regardless of their armor or dexterity.  This bonus uses some of the obvious feats coming from  the necessary feat tree as well as the needed bonuses something to take under advisement is never use this build against a size category large creature because they have reach which will stop you from using the typical tactic unless you have the needed speed buffs.

Well I know you want this information now so allow me to give it to you.  You'll need to be a goblin for starters and then you'll need to be a fighter to get the feats in any reasonable pace and then you'll need the feats: dodge, mobility, spring attack, underfoot and last but not least tangle feet.  This build will allow you to hit most everything and mostly nothing will hit you so you wont need much for hit points and as far as dexterity and the acrobatics skill goes you will need those to be as hefty as possible and the only thing you should put in front of it is the feats above and your class.  With this build you need to begin you movement outside an enemy square and then head in to get them with tangle feet and then hit them with you weapon and go out of their reach turning that AC bonus from your mobility and underfoot into the only one you'll need because even if your acrobatics roll was botched your looking at at least an AC of of 22 and that's with no armor (of course this is not ideal and i would recommend getting at least an harmaki which does give you  low bonus but its better than nothing).  Also if you want to use a firearm you'll need to be higher level but I highly recommend   Last but not least you should never go after an enemy without a change in tactic if you are going to use this build unless you move oddly fast you will ge wrecked.

Luck Winner

The luck winner was a build I came up with when I was feeling a bit of burn out for pathfinder it is based off of having a bunch of buffs that can be applied as an immediate action it is like other builds of mine incomplete it needs to be absolutely filled with last minute buffs to work.  This is not a power player build to just hit hard and limit the options of your enemies it is based off of surviving to the next encounter as narrowly as it may be.  This is not meant to be the hero of the campaign it is just meant to be the guy who tags along and ends up having the most xp in the end.  

Any-who I know your waiting on the edge of your seat for me to give you an answer and hear it is basically when I started this build I was going for a halfling with the adaptive luck ability with fates favored faith traits which would give you three last minute +3 bonuses and then you select a class that can give you more last minute buffs I happened to find Magus with the spell shield arcana and feel pretty satisfied, but you may find something better and if you do please leave me some info on it down in the comments.  Basically how the spell shield ability works is you can as an immediate action get a bonus to your armor class equivalent to your intelligence modifier which I'll admit is marvelous and can get you out of a lot believe me.  When you replicate this build you need to keep one thing in mind survivability, this character build needs survivability and will not always be the hands down victor of the party he just needs to last longer and get the xp and the more xp you have the better you are right?

Pathfinder Power Playing: The Executioner

The first blog will be about a build I started working on recently, The Executioner.  This build is based off of using a bunch of cheap items to provide an array of De-buffs whether it be the entangled condition shaken condition or the sickened condition these conditions will make it easier to beat an opponent and easier to level quickly.

This build first came to me when I was watching the anime Hunter X Hunter when a character kurapika used chains to restrain enemies this character was using aura based chains as a way of restraining enemies before going in for the kill.  When I was originally trying to figure out how to use this effectively I was not properly equipped to handle the situation, but as all things do my lack of knowledge followed suit.  Much more recently I was playing a game called smite with a friend of mine and I took notice of a particular character modeled after the Greek god of war Ares.  This heralded the dusting off of the old idea and with recently accumulated new pathfinder books I was ready to master the build.

Well now it is time to get to the down and dirty of this and actually tell you how to master this build

step 1 race: any race is compatible with this build some more than others and while you may find a preference you will always be able to play it with another race

Step 2 class: This is once again a very fluid build but I would probably limit it down to the Inquisitor and Magus class to begin with due to their close combat based attributes and their ability to cast spells and since spells can typically provoke negetive conditions 

Step 3 Skills: Any skills that can apply De-buffs are useful bluff and intimidate are two good ones
